Mr. Webster sold the hangar to Mile High Aviation, LLC, Neil and Angela James, and they would like a new lease, to commence October 1, 2022. The 2020 Airport Rates and Charges Resolution sets the lease rate at $.3127 per square foot per annum. The hangar is 4,750 square feet and bare ground of the leasehold is 4,350 square feet, totaling 9,100 square feet. CPI was adjusted retroactively to October 1, 2022 and was invoiced at the newly calculated rate when annual hangar invoices were issued in December. Mr. Webster has signed and notarized the lease termination. Mile High Aviation, LLC, Neil and Angela James, have been provided with a copy of the current lease, current Airport Rules and Regulations, and Airport Minimum Standards. The City Clerk will record the document and keep a copy for the City’s records. Staff has requested a $50 lease cancellation fee and a $300 new lease fee. The lease termination and the new lease have been reviewed by the City Attorney. The Airport Advisory Committee has reviewed the request and recommends that the City Council approve Mr. Webster’s lease termination and approve Mile High Aviation, LLC’s new lease on Hangar 210B.
