SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Pursuant to McCall City Code Chapter 3.12, the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven (7) members, four (4) of which are appointed by the McCall City Council.
On March 7, 2023, the Commission vetted seven (7) letters of interest for the Planning and Zoning Commission vacancy and determined that only three (3) interested individuals were qualified
pursuant to McCall Code Section 3.12.02 and still interested in serving: Toni Curtis, Dave Petty, and Mike Spilotros.
At their April 4, 2023 meeting, the Planning & Zoning Commission further reviewed the remaining applicants and recommended appointing Dave Petty to the McCall Area Planning & Zoning
Commission. The vacancy was advertised for two weeks in the Star-News, as well as a thorough public outreach effort through the Communication Department. All three interested and qualified
applicants have been invited to attend the Council Meeting. The three applicants’ letters of interest are attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Appoint Dave Petty to a three (3) year term on the McCall Area Planning & Zoning Commission.
