Captain Garber will present the numbers to date of inspection and of those inspections how many have passed and how many have failed the inspection. He will discuss the primary failure points including windows and egress issues. Amanda Payne, the City’s LOT and STR Compliance Administrator, will also be available should the Council have any questions regarding the City’s process related to the STR permitting process. Captain Garber will present three questions for Council to give direction on what to do with rooms that have been used by the owner as a sleeping space but don't meet code: Do we require them to remove all sleeping items? Can they just lock the door? Do they need to make it known in their listing that those spaces are not to be used for sleeping?
