Estimate - $420,000 Parks and Recreation    FUNDING SOURCE: Water Fund Airport      Library    TIMELINE: Late Summer – Fall 2023 Information Systems      Grant Coordinator    SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City, in collaboration with Clear Solutions, Inc. has conducted formal bidding for the Davis Beach Intake Station Upgrades – 2023 March. This project provides various building and mechanical replacement/upgrades to meet regulatory requirements, improve performance and efficiency, and enhance aesthetics. Major components include: Replacement of the raw water pressure main 12-inch flow meter Replacement of antiquated electrical and ventilation components Installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs) to improve pump performance, control, and energy efficiency New roof, exterior siding and architectural elements to maintain the structure and improve aesthetics Epoxy coating of interior concrete flooring, new exterior doors, and exterior pavers at doorway entrances Attached are select sheets of the design plans. No expansion of the building footprint or pump station capacity will occur with this project. All required design/architectural elements of the project have been submitted to the City Planner to provide Administrative Design Review Approval. The bid opening occurred on 4/20/23. The bid is being reviewed by the Project Engineer (Eric Landsberg of Clear Solutions Inc) for accuracy and responsiveness to the bidding specifications. A complete bid tabulation, recommendation for contract award, and draft contract agreement (or recommendation to reject all bids) will be presented to the Council on 4/27/23.  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award the construction contract to the responsive low bidder ___________ in the amount of ______and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
