SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Area Youth Council shall consist of no fewer than five (5) voting members appointed by the City Council. The term of office for each appointive member shall be (1) year. Alternate
Members and General Membership is encouraged and crucial to the function of the MAYC in discussing, exploring concepts, and representing the McCall Area Youth in an Advisory Capacity
to City Council. Committee members need not be a resident of the City of McCall but should be enrolled in the McCall-Donnelly School District or another accredited learning institution
in the McCall Region. Representation from student with an interest in change-making, civic engagement, local government, and leadership, is preferred. There currently are four (4) Appointed
Voting Members and one (1) vacancy resulting from member Josslyn Carnes moving out of state.
The four Voting Members, along with Ms. Carnes prior to departure, nominated Jeremiah Salguero to fill the vacancy as a regular “General Member” who has remained involved in projects
throughout the course of the year. Mr. Salguero recently completed his Junior year at McCall-Donnelly High School and is a good fit to help transition the MAYC into the next School
Year.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Appoint Jeremiah Salguero to the McCall Area Youth Council seat vacated by Josslyn Carnes to complete the 2022-2023 term.
