Absent Van Hauen. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to approve the minutes of the May regular meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to approve the Treasurer’s report for May. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to approve the following bills for payment. All ayes, carried. At 7:09 p.m. the Mayor declared opened the public hearing on the proposed FY 2009 budget amendment. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:12 p.m.. Motion by Lindaman second by Van Heiden to approve Resolution 06-2009-01 a resolution approving FY 2009 Budget Amendment. Roll call of Votes. Ayes: Buseman, Lindman, Nielsen and Van Heiden. Absent: Van Hauen. Carried. Ron Klaasen and Karen Mennega presented information regarding the Library Building Project. Ron would like the Council to meet with the Architect and Building Contractor to discuss some issues with the building project. Ron will inform the council when a date has been set for the meeting. Motion by Lindaman second by Buseman approving Ordinance 06-2009 an ordinance adding stop signs to the intersection of W 5th St and W Jackson St. and on the north end of Van Buren St. at the intersection of W. 4th St. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to suspend the rules and pass Ordinance 06-2009 upon the first reading. All ayes, carried. Motion by Buseman second by Nielsen to increase Merrill Lindaman’s vacation to 4 weeks. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve Pool Manager Salary. Monthy salary to be $1060.00. Manager will also be paid $8.55/hour for any life guarding hours exceeding 25/week. All ayes carried. Motion by Buseman second by Lindaman to approve building permit for Chuck Brewer. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Nielsen to approve Cigarette permits for Casey’s General Store and R & M Foods. All ayes, carried Motion by Van Heiden second by Buseman to approve a beer permit for R & M Foods. All ayes, carried. Motion by Buseman second by Nielsen to approve the transfer of the Community Club Liquor License for the Wellsburg Daze Celebration. Motion to adjourn Lindaman second by Buseman. All ayes, carried.
