HomeMy Public PortalAbout001-1999 Contract for Services Ron ChappellCONTRACT FOR SERVICES WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana desires to have an EEO Practitioner to provide advice to the City Administration on affirmative action and equal opportunity issues; and WHEREAS, Ronald B. Chappell is experienced in equal employment opportunities and affirmative action; and WHEREAS, Ronald B. Chappell is currently employed as a part-time employee by the City of Richmond in the position of Director of Human Rights Commission; and WHEREAS, as a part-time employee, Ronald B. Chappell is not otherwise eligible to receive health benefits; and WHEREAS, Ronald B. Chappell desires to provide the above -referenced EEO and affirmative action advice for paid health benefits; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenant contained herein, including the above stated recitals, Ronald B. Chappell and the City of Richmond, Indiana hereby agree as follows: 1) Ronald B. Chappell will provide EEO/affirmative action advice to the City Administration on an as -needed basis. 2) The City of Richmond, Indiana will provide Ronald B. Chappell with access to the same health benefits available to full-time city employees. 3) Ronald B. Chappell will pay the same amount for said health benefits as is paid by full-time employees. 4) This contract will become effective January 1, 2000. 5) This contract may be terminated at will by either party with or without cause.
