ParkTYB – Tell Your Visiting Friends For any one visiting Tybee without a parking decal, finding a place to park, and making sure the receipt or meter stays paid up can be one of the biggest pains of the visit. Our ParkTYB app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play. Download and register using the app, then once you have found a place to park, pay with your credit card or PayPal. No need to leave the restaurant or beach if you need to feed the meter! Do it from your phone! Having trouble with the app? Remember Parking services staff are there to help you if you need change or any other parking system assistance. Call them at 912.472.5101. Repeated Seasonal Warnings With the tourist season already under way, as well as the imminent start of the school year, be especially cautious at all pedestrian crossings, and watch out for children and distracted drivers. Tybee’s marsh and ocean views are magnificent, particularly for new visitors! Stay away from turtles and turtle nests - one of the reasons dogs are not allowed on the beaches. Pay close attention to CEMA and City communications as well as your favorite sources of hurricane information. Throw in the fact of this year’s early school year start on August 2nd, and it’s time to be wary, and prepared!
