AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1992 -3 DEFINING
POWERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Redevelopment Commission anticipates acquiring certain
real estate to be used primarily for airport development; and
WHEREAS, some portion of the real estate acquired may be available for Industrial
Development; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens that any sale or long term lease (more
than 4 years), for other than airport use, be approved by the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle that any sale or long term lease, other than to the Putnam County Board of
Aviation Commissioners, shall require approval of the Common Council.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle
Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
