AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BAND
'. SHELTER AT CARTERET PARK
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of a band shelter in Carteret Park
to serve the residents of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received three (3)
bid proposals for said band shelter as follows:
1. R.B. Reynolds Construction $16,500.00
2. Alpha Construction $ 18,400.00
3. Zenith Construction $ 41,000.00
WHEREAS, R.B. Reynolds Construction, 1801 No. Hingham Way, Mercerville,
NJ 08619, submitted the lowest bid for said construction of a Band Shelter as
evidenced by the response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid
proposals and has recommended the award of a contract to R.B. Reynolds
Construction; and
WHEREAS, the chief financial officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough .of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with R.B. Reynolds
Construction for the construction of a new Band Shelter for
the sum of $16,500.00, in accordance in all respects with
the bid specifications and contract documents and bid
proposal for the same.
Adopted this 27th day of March, 2003
and certified as a tree copy of the
original on March 28, 2003.

And the Borough of Carteret, a municipal corporation, having its
Principal office at the Borough Hall 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey,
As per Resolution Number 03-115.
THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following
AWARD OF BID BAND SHELTER IN CARTERET PARK.
NOT TO EXCEED $16,500.00
according to the terms set forth in RESOLUTION & BID.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their hands and seals or
caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
seals to be hereto affixed, the day and year written above.
