1) Energy Efficiency Retrofits (Gov & Non‐profit)
a. Seven buildings in Memorial Park retrofitted:
b. City Hall: replace T12 lights with magnetic ballasts with T8’s with electronic ballasts and install motion and/or occupancy sensors where appropriate;
install 5 smart thermostats; replace exterior doors and create airlock; seal all doors and windows; add spray‐foam insulation.
c. Gym: replace HPS lights with LED or fluorescents and occupancy sensors; install motion sensors in bathrooms; install occupancy sensors; install smart
thermostats; add airlock ‐‐$10,000; install spray‐foam insulation.
d. Cafeteria: seal all doors and windows; replaces incandescent lights with T8’s; install motion sensors in bathrooms; install smart thermostats; add spray‐
foam insulation.
School: seal all doors and windows; replace T12 lighting with T8’s; install motions sensors in bathrooms; install smart thermostats;
e. YMCA: seal all doors and windows; replace T12 fluorescent lights with T8’s; install motion and/or occupancy sensors where appropriate; install smart

This scope is the original project scope, and does necessarily reflect the final scope approved by GEFA. GEFA’s contract files should be referenced for final
scope.
2) They replaced a total of 249 fixtures and 720 lamps. This was a one‐to‐one swap except in the Council Chambers that included a fixture reduction and
zone control. All lighting projects include occupancy sensors.
3) Programmable thermostats were installed, and are being remotely monitored and controlled.

Did not feel it was required since lighting projects were typical. Saw the ground loop install, but could not get access to see the air handling unit in the
Library. Monitor was comfortable with the Paul Wolf knowledge of the system, and was therefore comfortable that Tybee system meets current
construction standards.

Lighting Retrofit, Motion Sensors & Programmable Thermostats
Two of the rooms had higher than normal lighting levels from 78 to 110 foot‐candles, but others were at or below 50 fc's.
Council meetings (reported every month), website, cable channel, and signage. They also conducted a Water & Energy Fair on February 11, 2011, with 7‐8
presenters and 30 booths. They formed a "Green Team" that has provided printed material to the public, sample has been uploaded to Dropbox.
