Home My Public Portal Aboutr 03:120No. 03-120 Date of Adoption [qat'ch 27~ 2003 APPROVING CHANGE ORDER gl REICON GROUP, LLC - ARTHUR KILL WATERFRONT RECREATION FACILITY WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously awarded a contract to Reicon Group, LLC in the amount of $2,201,155.00 for the Arthur Kill Waterfront Recreation Facility; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T & M Associates, has advised the Governing Body that a modification to the contract is reasonable and necessary and has recommended that the aforesaid contract be modified in accordance with Contract Change Order gl, attached hereto; and WHEREAS, Change Order gl includes a change in the time allowed for the completion of the project and reflect as-built quantities based upon actual field conditions; and WHEREAS, Change Order gl provides for a net increase in the contract price in the amount of $150,000.00, resulting in a revised contract price of $2,351,155.00; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, T&M Associates, has advised that the above described changes and/or modifications to the project were unforeseen at the time of the award of the original contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows: 1. That Contract Change Order gl, attached hereto and made a part hereof, providing for a net increase of $150,000.00 in the overall contract price and resulting in a revised total contract price of $2,351,155.00, is hereby approved. 2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order gl. 3. That a copy of this Resolution and a fully executed copy of Change Order gl be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and to T&M Associates for distribution to Reicon Group.
