As the 2024 legislative session begins, I would like to touch base with the community leaders in
Legislative District 8. I have been meeting with and discussing issues with constituents and leaders in all
four counties and it has been a great experience. I have enjoyed speaking with many of you. However, I
have not had the privilege of speaking.directly with .. all of you. If you are in Boise during the current
legislative session, please reach out to me. I will be sure and make time to meet. When we work
together, we can get some great things accomplished.
It is an honor to be serving in my second term as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives. In
Mountain Home, I have served in a variety of community service positions dealing with economic
development, infrastructure upgrades, and community development. I also served six years as a
member of the Mountain Home City Council. Local government is where people really see the effects of
the work of their elected officials. You folks are at the best level of government to help people in
concrete and positive ways.
As a member ofthe Appropriations Committee (JFAC), I have worked diligently on water issues,
education funding, and facilitating an atmosphere where state and local government can work to best
serve their constituents. I am excited to continue to work with the agriculture, tourism, mining, logging,
and natural resources industries. My focus this session will be keeping Idaho a great place to live, work,
educate our children, and own a business. I served a 20-year career in the US Air Force, and I continue
to work closely with my contacts at Mountain Home Air Force Baae. I am actively engaged in Veteran
services and affairs. I hope you will take the opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas with me.
