Home My Public Portal Aboutr 03:129No. 03-129 Date of Adoption April 14~ 2003 APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH SWIFYREACH NETWORKS, INC. - REVERSE 911 WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") requires the implementation and installation of an emergency notification system (reverse 911) to better serve the residents of the community; and WHEREAS, the Borough desires to enter into an agreement with Swif~reach Networks, Inc. CSNI") for the use of telecommunications and computer hardware and software for an emergency notification system (reverse 911), and to maintain a database for the telephone notification messages for various emergency departments within the Borough; and WHEREAS, SNI has extensive experience in providing said services to municipalities; and WHEREAS, SNI has submitted a proposed Agreement to install the necessary telecommunications and computer hardware and soi~ware and to maintain the system for twelve (12) months at a cost of $750.00 per month for the Borough, and WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described proposal and has determined that it is in the public's interest to pursue the same. NOW, TIi~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret~ County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. That the Agreement with Swiflreach Networks, Inc., a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, to install the necessary hardware and maintain the database and system for an emergency notification system (reverse 911) on behalf of the Borough is hereby approved. 2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized and directed to assist Swiflreach Networks, Inc. and to supply whatever information may be needed by Swii~reach to install the necessary hardware and software and maintain the reverse 911 system~ 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with Swiflxeach Networks, Inc. 4.
