BEAUMONT CITY COUNCIL MEETING
TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 25, 1995
CALL TO ORDER. PLACE: City Council Chambers
ROLL CALL: TIME: 6:00 P.M.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Leja
ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AGENDA: Mayor Leja
Oral/Written Communications: Anyone wishing to address the City Council on any matter not
on the agenda of this meeting may do so now. The Oral Communications portion of the
agenda. is to hear public comments. If anv question or concern arises related to anv issue not
on the agenda, it will be referred to staff for appropriate response. Anyone wishing to speak
on an item on the agenda may do so at the time the Council considers that item. All persons
wishing to speak should fill out a "Request to Speak Form" and give it to the Deputy City
Clerk at the beginning of the meeting. The forms are available on the railing at the front of
the CltN Council Chambers, and on the table at the back.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
Motion to approve Consent Calendar items by one motion.
a. Minutes of the regular City Council meeting held September 11, 1995
(CM)
b. Approval of warrant list and payroll for September 25, 1995. (FIN)
C. Administrative Services Director's response to questions regarding
September 11, 1995 warrant list. (FIN)
2. ACTION ITEM/REPORTS:
a. Acceptance of resignation from the Planning Commission by Greg Barker
and replacement thereof. (CM)
Recommendation: City Council make a selection from the five
applications still on file with the City
b. Acceptance of resignation submitted by Council Member Matthew Russo
effective August 22, 1995, and consideration of award for 4 years of
service.
Recommendation: Accept resignation and give award for 4 years of
service.
C. Report from the Administrative Services Director on Privatization.
PUBLIC HEARING:
a. Abandonment of Road right-of-way for Euclid Avenue between Fourth and
Southern Pacific Lines' right-of-way.
Recommendation: Approval of the proposed abandonment of Euclid
Avenue between Fourth Street and the Southern Pacific Lines' right-of-
way subject to the conditions of approval and based on the findings that the
proposed project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act
pursuant to Section 15304.
4. CLOSED SESSION:
a. Personnel issues pursuant to Government Code Section 54957
ADJOURNMENT:
A meeting of the Beaumont Redevelopment Agency will be held immediately following the City
Council meeting.
