Anyone wishing to address the City Council on any matter not on the agenda of this meeting may do so now. Anyone wishing to speak on an item on the agenda may do so at the time the Council considers that item. All persons wishing to speak should fill out a "Request to Speak Form" and give it to the Deputy City Clerk at the beginning of the meeting. The forms are available on the railing at the front of the Council Chambers, and on the table at the back. CONSENT CALENDAR: 1. Motion to approve Consent Calendar items by one motion. a. Approval of minutes for City Council meetings held June 27, 1994. (CLK) b. Approval of warrant list and payroll. (FIN) STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: 2. Conveyance of Eighth Street Extension in Three Rings Ranch to Coscan/Stewart Partnership. (ECDEV) Staff recommendation: Approve reconveyance of Eighth Street Extension as presented. Staff report. Council discussion. Motion. 1 Agenda - City Council meeting 8-8-94 STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: (cont) 3. Actions related to recall petition - Mayor Leja. a. Submittal of Certificate of Sufficiency. b. Adoption of a resolution ordering a special election to be held November 8, 1994. C. Adoption of a resolution requesting consolidation of the special election with the State-wide General Election to be held November 8, 1994 and requesting that election services be provided to the City by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters. d. Authorization of funding. Staff recommendation: 1) Receive and file Certificate of Sufficiency; 2) Adopt resolution ordering election; 3) Adopt resolution requesting consolidation of recall election with the General Election on November 8 and provision of election services by the County Registrar of Voters; and 4) Authorize funding of $8,000 in the General Fund to cover costs associated with the petition and election.
