INVOCATION: Council Member Berg PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Council Member Berg ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AGENDA: ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Anyone wishing to address the City Council on any matter not on the agenda of this meeting may do so now. Anyone wishing to speak on an item on the agenda may do so at the time the Council considers that item. All persons wishing to speak should fill out a "Request to Speak Form" and give it to the Deputy City Clerk at the beginning of the meeting. The forms are available on the railing at the front of the Council Chambers, and on the table at the back. CONSENT CALENDAR: 1. Motion to approve Consent Calendar items by one motion. a. Approval of minutes for City Council meeting held May 23, 1994. (CLK) b. Approval of warrant list and payroll. (FIN) C. Renewal of annual operational agreement for anti -drug abuse task force for cooperation in provision of services and authorization for the Chief of Police to execute the agreement. (PD) d. Renewal of annual operational agreement with Alternatives to Domestic Violence organization for cooperation in provision of services and authorization for the Chief of Police to execute the agreement. A public hearing to consider introduction of an ordinance providing for the regulation of food establishments and food facilities. (CM) Staff report. Open public hearing and take public comments. Close public hearing. Read title of ordinance. Waive further reading of the ordinance. Introduce the ordinance. STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: 3. Approval of a contract for Community Facilities District administration. (FIN) Staff recommendation: Approve agreement with David Taussig & Associates, Inc for special tax administration charges for CFD 93-1. Staff report. Council discussion. Acceptance of relinquishment from Caltrans (State Department of Transportation) of portions of certain streets and waiver of 90-day notice required. (CM) Staff recommendation: Approve agreement with Riverside County and certain cities in Riverside County to receive reimbursement for booking fees paid by the City of Beaumont to Riverside County. Status report by the Planning and Economic Development Directors regarding a cooperative planning meeting held by the Advisory Committee formed to plan for the use of CFD 93-1 to assist in school funding. (ECDEV/PLNG) 4 Agenda - City Council meeting 6-13-94 CLOSED SESSION: 10. Recess to closed session to confer with legal counsel regarding the following: A. Existing litigation: Case Name Unspecified: Disclosure would jeopardize existing settlement negotiations. B. Consideration of public employee personnel matters pursuant to Government Code Section 54957. C. Conference with labor negotiator: Agency negotiator: City Manager, Dayle Keller. Employee organizations: 1) General Employees Unit of the Public Employees Association of Riverside County, Inc. 2) Beaumont Confederation of Police of the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs. 3) Police Sergeants as Individuals. Reconvene from Closed Session. Announce actions taken and vote of council members.
