A special meeting of the Tiffm City Council was brought to order by Mayor Glenn R.
Potter 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2001. Council present: Jim Bartels, Mike
Gericke and Rodney Walls. Absent: Mike Ryan and Karin Dils.
Motion Gericke, second Walls to approve an agreement with US Cellular for tower
location adjacent to the water tower on Roberts Ferry. The agreement will include
removal of the old water standpipe and these additions to the proposed written agreement.
1) dismantle costs of standpipe will be paid in full by US Cellular 2) liability for any
future health issues will be solely borne by US Cellular and the city will not be
responsible 3) the new tower cannot interfere with current signals of South Slope from
antennae now in place on the newer water tower 4) this agreement is subject to ability to
extend current easements to US Cellular for their use 5) all successors are subject to
same agreement. 6) monthly rental fee increased from $500 to $600/month.
Ayes: Walls, Gericke and Bartels. Nays: None. Absent: Ryan and Dils. Motion
carried.
Motion Gericke, second Walls to continue in purchase arranged by Walls for used 12E
motor grader at cost of $14,925.00 from MidLand Equipment. Ayes: Walls, Gericke,
and Bartels. Nays: None. Absent: Ryan and Dils. Motion carried.
