Prescnt,The t:ayor,Recorder and Councilmen Cayey,Garrett,Thompson, Brown,Shroff,Bttzer,Divine,Samp�-ell and Rollins. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Finance Com'tee Report. To the P;:ayor and Council of the Town of Lecsburg,Va.: Your Finance Committee respectfully report as to the uncollected tax and license bills turned over to them by the late Sergeant Y.T. Whitmore that on a critical examination in which they were assisted by the Constable and Commissioner of Revenue of this district that they have turned over to W.A.Edwards Sergt. as per his receipt there- for,hcrewith the sum of ,"460.50 And bills regardea as Insolvent erroneous as per lists herewith for the years 1894 62.57 „ „ 1695 133.71 1896 547.74 1897 28.37 1898 31.52 1899 38.10 „ collected by Attys 71.92 ?;913.93 ;1374.43 The tax bills and fees for licenses as above are in the hands of four Committee as stated,and regarding them as worthless recommend they be cancelled and removed from the question of further accounts.
