At a Special Mcettng of The Mayor and Common Council of Leesburg Va.,called on
June 5th,1001,for the purpose of correcting an assessment made against the
Stockholders of the Loudoun 110tional Bankffor the year 1000.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
on the motion of 1,7.E.Garrett one of the Assessors,in the nature of a C'mpromise
it was Resolved that the said assessment be reduced from '165. to '150. per
share ana the same be taken as the market value of said stock. This motion was
carried by a vote of 7 to 4,but Mr Lynn refusing to accept it,thereupon on
motion the Council adjourned.

thereupon passed an ordinance or resolution reducing said assessment to the
of �150.per share,and whereas said Bank has not paid the tax for its stockholders
as in duty bound,but has refused and still refuses to pay the same, There fors r,e
it resolved that the Town Sergeant be and he is hereby directed to proceed to
collect the same as the law directs.
This 2esolutl_on was rcod,ar:d on the motion of 1'r Bitzer,the Bank Stock of
said Loudoun National 30n�c was reduced to N14C,000, and the Sergeant was directed
to collect the amount of 1700. for the assessment on their stock.
