The Mtnutes of last meettrig were read ant approvc�i.
Ur C.F.Harrtson appeared before the Council and reported that he ha.: appearcu
before the h'ayor to have a fine assessed against Catherine Thomas for violation
of town_ ordtnancc; the said Ynyor heard the evtuerce and assessed a f",, -.c Cf
„5. airs costs,but that he had been informeu that after the au"ournmcnt of tine
Court said t.:ayor hal retuccd the fine to ',2.50 and ask_ei the opinion of the
Counctl is to 'ai s right to do so; On motion of Mr Shroff the above matter was
referred to "`.L. �rrett Atty for t,ic town to report at our next meettng,and
that sates ',`ayor be r-qui.re,a to report to the Finance Commtttee all fines,as
required by Ordinance.
It was on mot ton, Re solved, That b'essrs Garrett,Casey and Norrts be appointed
a CorrrAttee to investigate and report the Status of the provision of our Town
Charter which exempts the town from Road Tax &c on condition that the town keeps
its streets to order and supports Its poor.
