At an adjourned meeting of the Mayor and Common Council of the Town of Leesburg

Virgtnia,held on lay 14th, 1902, pursuant to adjournment.
Prescnt,The Recorder on, Councilmen, Casey, Garrett, Rollins, Johnston, Divine,
Shroff,Sampsell,and ,Norris.
The minutes of the last meeting were read,corrcctcd and as corrected appwed.
The consideration of the report of the Committee on the revision and caiifi-
cation of the laws of the Town being the order of business tho same was taken
up for consideration and the report of the Committee was read and considered
seriatim,and adopted section by section and chapter by chapter,and t`en adopted
as a whole. And thereupon it was on motton,RESOLVEJ that the Mayor pro-tem
appoint a Committee to negotiate and contract for printing at least 100 copies
of said report,and when publtshea all resolutions and ordinances in conflict
therewith are hereby repeoled,and said ordinances so as aforesaid reporte.. and
adopted declared to be in full force and effect from the date of their publt-
cation. The Mayor pro-tem. appointed,S.J.Johiiston,O.:N.Cascy aria W.E.Garrett
said Committee.

The following resolution was presented and as it applied to the prestdtng

officer,was put upon its passage by T.E.Garrett,and unanimously adopted.
"Whereas the Hon Jos E.P?rtght,Mayor of this Town,has been confined to his
bcd'and•room for some five months and thus totally unable to perform the duties
of his offtce,R E S 0 L V E J that this Counc!i exccuL 41 1-- —
spDpathy and hope for his early rccovcry,and that by reason of his illness the
duties of his office has been faithfully discharged by B.w.Franklin,Recorder,
thcreforc,further resolved,that the thanks of this CeuI':ctl are Iuc,and are
hereby tendered mr Franklin for nts efftcient and faithful service wring this
time.
There being no further business Council adjourned.
