AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE,
FLORIDA, AMENDTNG ORDTNANCE NO. 2018-7 WHICH
ADOPTED THE BUDGET F'OR FISCAL YEAR 2OI8.2OI9
BY REVISING THE 2OI8.2OI9 FISCAL YEAR OPERATING
BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' in accordance with Section 200.065, Florida Statutes, on September 25,
2018, the Village Council of the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") adopted Ordinance No.
2018-7 approving the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council directed staff to transfer $1,995,851 the total Assigned
Fire Rescue Transport Fee fund balance reserve, to pay down the Police and Fire Pension
Unfunded Liability. In order to process the transaction, it is deemed necessary to adjust, amend
and implement the 2018-2019 Operating Budget as set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that adoption of this Ordinance is in the best
interest and welfare of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREF'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF'THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, F'LORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1
Section 1. Recitals. That the above-stated recitals are true and correct and are
incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. Amendine Ordinance No. 2018-7. That the Village Council hereby
authorizes the amendment of Ordinance No. 2018-7, which Ordinance adopted a budget for the
2018-2019 fiscal year, by revising the 2018-2019 budget as set forth on the attached Exhibit "A,"
which exhibits are deemed incorporated by reference as though set forth in full herein.

Section 3. Imnlementation. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to take
any and all action necessary to implement the purpose of this Ordinance.
Section 4.Effective Date. That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon final adoption on second reading.

Second Reading by the Village Council of the Village of Key Biscayne at a
meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 24,2019 at 5:30 p.m" in the
Council Chamber, located at 560 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, Florida:

AMENDING ORDINANCE NO,2018.7 WHICH ADOPTED THE BUDGET
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-20'19 BY REVISING THE 2018-2019 FISCAI
YEAR OPEFATING BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The proposed Ordinance may be inspected by the public at the Ofiice of
the Village Clerk. lnterested parties may appear at the Public Hearing and
be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinances. Any person wishing to
address the Village Council on any item at this Public Hearing is asked to
register with the Village Clerk prior to that item being heard.
