APPROVING COIJ,ECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET AND ~ AFSCME AFL-
CIO, LOCAL 3850 AND AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between the
Borough of Carteret and the AFSCME AFL-CIO Local #3850 (White Collar)
expired on December 31, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Borough and the AFSCME AFL-CIO Local #3850 have
reached a tentative agreement for a successor Collective Bargaining Agreement
for the years beginning 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 and are desirous to
memorialize said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. The Collective Bargaining Agreement between the
Borough of Carteret and the AFSCME, AFL-CIO Local #3850 for
the years 2003-2007 is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute said agreement on behalf of the Borough in a form
acceptable to the Borough Attorney.
Adopted this 8 day of May, 2003
and certified as a true copy of
the original on May 9, 2003.
