AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE SITE PREPARATION FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A BAND SHELTER
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret needs to prepare a site in Carteret
Park for the construction of a new Band Shelter to serve the residents of the
community; and
WItEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received
three (3) bid proposals for said work as follows:
1. 4-Clean Up, Inc. $ 33,808.00
2. Diamond Construction $ 38,700.00
3. Zenith Construction $ 26,590.00
WHEREAS, Zenith Construction submi~ed the lowest bid for said
preparation of the site and surrounding area for the construction of a Band Shelter
as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
W~IEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid
proposals and has recommended the award of a contract to Zenith Construction;
and
WHEREAS, the chief financial officer has certified that funds are or will
be available for said purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a con~'act with Zenith Construction for the
preparation of a site and surrounding area in Carteret Park for the
construction of a new Band Shelter for the sum of $26,590.00, in
accordance in ali respects with the request for proposals and bid on
same.
Adopted this 8th day of May, 200~
and certified as a true copy of
the original on May 9th, 2003.

THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following

BAND SHELTER.
NOT TO EXCEED $26,590.00.
according to the terms set forth in RESOLUTION & BID.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.

caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
seals to be hereto affixed, the day and year written above.
