ORDINANCE NO. 00 -845
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY ADDING SECTION 6251.1 TO THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATIVE TO THE UNAUTHORIZED COLLECTION OF
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Article VI, Chapter 2, Part IV of the Temple City Municipal Code shall be amended
to add Section 6251.1, as follows:
6251.1 During such times as the City or its authorized recycling agent suspend the
segregation of recyclable materials, but provide another method of collection, it
shall be unlawful for any unauthorized person to remove recycling material from
any container.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and to
its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published in the San Gabriel Valley Weekly, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of Temple City.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance, Ordinance
No. 00 -845, was introduced at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held on
the 20th day of June 2000, and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of July
2000 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman - Breazeal, Brook, Wilson and Souder
NOES: Councilman -None
ABSENT: Couniclman - Gillanders
