ORDINANCE NO. ~ B
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONCURRING IN A JOINT
ORDINANCE-RESOLUTION AND AN AGREEMENT DATED JUNE 26,
1973 WITH ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO, OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA, KANSAS, AND SEDGWICK COUNTY, KANSAS ATTACH-
ING THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS TO THE WICHITA-
SEDGWICK COUNTY METROPOLITAN AREA PLANNING COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS,
Section 1. The City of Bel Aire, Kansas, under the authority
of K.S.A. 1965 Suppl. 12-716, et seq., hereby ratifies and concurs
in the Joint Ordinance-Resolution establishing the Wichita-Sedgwick
County Metropolitan Area Planning Commission and an agreement dated
June 26, 1973, with any amendments thereto, adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Wichita and the Board of Commissioners
of Sedgwick County. All future agreements or amendments are also
ratified and concurred in, provided they are served on the Clerk of
the City and the Chairman of the Planning Commission, if there be one,
and provided the governing body does no~ officially object within 30
days of the service of such notice.
Section 2. That by such action the City of Bel Aire, Kansas,
does hereby establish itself as a member of the Wichita-Sedgwick
County Metropolitan Area Planning Commission.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to serve a copy
of this Ordinance to each governing body who is a member of the
Wichita-Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area Planning Commission.
Section 4. This Ordinance will be in effect after it's publi-
cation in the official City Newspaper.
