AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING THE TEMPLE CITY ZONING CODE TO CLARIFY
CERTAIN AMBIGUITIES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Based upon -the findings contained in Planning Commission Resolution
No. 00- 1964PC and based upon information provided in the staff report and minutes of the
Planning Commission meeting of November 14, 2000 and based upon the public hearing
conducted before the City Council on December 19, 2000, the City Council amends the Temple
City Zoning Code as described in Section 3 below.
SECTION 2. This project should result in no significant effect on the environment, and
a Negative Declaration has been prepared in accordance with the State CEQA Guidelines. The
initial statement as prepared indicates that there is no potential or adverse impact to the
environment as it relates to all wild animals, birds, plants, fish, amphibians and related ecological
communities, including the habitat upon which the wildlife depends for its continued viability.
SECTION 3. The City Council amends the Temple City Zoning Code as follows:
9119. `L' Section
Lot, Area, shall mean the total area, measured in a horizontal plan, included within the lot lines of
a lot. (Any portion of a lot area which is within a designated Flood Control easement shall not be
considered as usable lot area for purposes of determining or calculating permitted density, lot
coverage, floor area ratio, etc.).
9210. APPEALS
The applicant, or any other person, who owns real property or resides within 300' of the property
lines of the property to which the variance or Conditional Use Permit application relates, and who
is aggrieved by the decision of the Planning Commission in conjunction with action taken on a
Variance or Conditional Use Permit, may file a written letter of appeal with the City Clerk together
with a filing and processing fee in the sum of $70, prior to the Commission's action becoming
final.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance
and to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published according to law.

00 -854 was introduced at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held
on the 19th day of December, 2000 and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at the regular meeting held
on the 2nd day of January, 2001 by the following vote:
