Motion by Nielsen second by James to approve the minutes of the May regular meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to approve the Treasurer’s report for May. The City Council suggested that an advertisement be placed in the Hometown Shopper to see if there were other people interested. Also there was a general discussion of the Library Building project. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to transfer the Community Club liquor license for the Wellsburg Daze Celebration. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Hauen to approve contract with Mosquito Control of Iowa. All ayes, carried. The Mayor declared this was the time and place for a public hearing on the proposed FY 2006 Budget Amendment. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor closed the public hearing. Motion by Lindaman second by James to approve Resolution 6-2006-1. FY 2006 Budget Amendment and Certification Resolution. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve Resolution 6-2006-2 a resolution setting date for public hearing for the transfer of property to the Wellsburg Reformed Church. The public hearing will be held July 3, 2006 at 7:15 p.m. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by James to approve cigarette permits for Mike’s Supermarket, Wellsburg Tap and Casey’ General Store. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Lindaman to approve building permits for Elwood Doyen, Frances Slifer and Jamie Madden. All ayes, carried. Motion to adjourn James, second Van Heiden.
