HomeMy Public PortalAboutSanitary and Storm Sewer Cleaning and Televising Bid Advertisement ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS A Mandatory Pre Bid Conference of all prospective Bidders and/or their representatives will be held at 14400 Coil Plus Drive, Plainfield, Illinois on June 29, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the conference. Time and Place of Opening Bids. Sealed proposals for the construction of the Sanitary and Storm Sewer Cleaning and Televising for the Village of Plainfield, Will County, Illinois, will be received at the Village Hall at 24401 W. Lockport Street until 10:00 A.M., July 9, 2018, and at that time will be publicly opened and unit price total read aloud. Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of televising and cleaning approximately 15,000 lineal feet of 6-inch to 36-inch sanitary sewer and 20,000 lineal feet of 6-inch to 36-inch storm sewer, and other miscellaneous items of work. The Contract may be renewed for a period of up to four years at the mutual agreement of the Owner and the Contractor. Information for Bidders. All pertinent documents may be examined at the Village Hall at 24401 W. Lockport Street or on the internet at www.bhfxplanroom.com. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from BHFX Digital Imaging, www.bhfxplanroom.com, upon a non-refundable payment of $25 per set. Documents can be purchased only through BHFX Digital Imaging. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village of Plainfield is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Plainfield for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder. Dated at the Village of Plainfield, Illinois this 21st day of June 2018.
