The Recurder being absent the Mayor appointed John T.Hourihane recorder
y pro Lem. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved.

k� It was moven,seconded and ordered that an advertisement be inserted in
` the local papers to the effect that usaled bids would be received by
the Town Council on June 17,1921 for rental of Town. Hall,subject to
conditions to be made known later -the Council to reserve the right to
pNC'' reject any or all bids.
There being no, further business on motion the Council
s , adjourned.

Va.,on June 17,1921.

The Recorder being absent the Mayor appointed John T.Hourihane Recorder
pro tem. The Minutes, of the
last meeting were read and approved.
Ur W.A.Metzger and Mr.J.S.Whitmore,Committee appointed by the Chamber
Of Commerce,appeared before the Council to discuss the feasability of
the town Council and Chamber of Commerce to work together in an effort
to have the Wallace George yiarry opened up. The Mayor appointed Mr
Fry and Mr.SnfPer a Committee to take the matter up with the District
y Road Board.
Ur. W•C.Haii discussed the matter oP State aid for building
streets in the town of Leesburg Va.,the idea being that 1Y the town
would put up 83000.,the State would put up a like amount. The Finance
y
Committee was requested to confer with the Banka as to borrowing the
money for the above purpose and report at next meeting.

On account of not having, a full board the bids for renting of Town Hall
was deferred to a special Meeting to be veld on June 20th 1921.
The following certificate of the election for Mayor and Councilmen held
in Leesburg, Vs.on Jure 14th was received and ordered spread upon the min-
utes,viz;

disposing of the bids for the rental of the town hall and to award a contract
for hauling slope.

The Bid of Ross and Co.,was accepted and contract made. A recorded vote was
called for and is as follows- For Ross & Co.,Sadfer,Ewing,Rollins,Hourlhane.
For Hines & Co. -Fry and Casey.
The contract for hauling slops for one year from July 111921 to June 30
1922 was awarded Mr Thomas Alexander at the price of $400, per year.
