The minutes of tre last meeting viere read and signed.
✓L fd This meeting was called for the purpose of considering the purchase of an

I R pumping station. The Water Committee reported that the en-
gine in use was insufficient. On motion made and seconded it was ordered
ro� that a six horse power Fairbanks Engine be purchased and installed as soon as
iry NNVe possible.
There being no further business,on motion,the Council adjourned.

At a Regnilar Meeting of the ;Mayor and Common Courcil hold in the Colmcil
Chambers in Leesburg,lra.,on October 25th 1921.

O.B.Bradfield

W.C.Saffer,Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A petition with the names of twenty one citizens was presented to the
Council to the effect that the business conducted by Max Davis was a nuisance
and should be abated- Thereupon it wev moved,seeonded and ordered that the
Sergeant be instructed to notify Mr,Davis that his said business is a nuisance ar 1j;fi
and that he must move the hides add other objectibonable matter outside o' the
Corporation of Leesburg Va.,by or before the 10th day o' N w.192_l,end that he
shall refrain from butchering animals or poultry on his premises in the town.
On motion made ani seconded the council authorized the PiranLe Co."'ittee
to go ahead Rib{: the arrangement for securing the sum of $3000.,for street
of
improvements. The money to be borrowed of the two bank' In heertowdn eeeheee-
burg,one half from esch,and the notes to be signed by

councilman to be issued for same,and said notes to be paid out of the
funds of the town.
The report of the Auditor was handed to the Finance Committee for
examination and report at the next meeting of the Council.
Recommendation report was referred to Finance Committee.
It being reported that meter at Mr.Smith's was out of Ohddition,the
same was referred to the hater Committee.
The Town Nall Committee reported that two stones had been purchased
and installed in the Town Hall at a cost of $95.
The Water Committee reported that a Fairbanks Engine had been pur-
chased and installed at Pumping Station at a cost of $207.00.
On motion made and seconded -the Finance Committee was requested to
go over all bills in the hands of the Sergeant for collection and to
credit him with the uncollectible bills. The Sergeant was instructed
to make a list of all bills due and proceed to collect same without
delay.
There being no further business,on motion,the Council adjourned.
