The Chairman of the wire Committee reported that he had heard nothing
from the Manufacturers. The Hater Committee reported that nothing had
been done in the matter of water supply for the lichool Building.
Mr -Ewing, reported in matbr of npplication of Lesbr Scott for gas
tank in fro-nt of his place on market; street that there rould be nu ad-

The resignation of Mr. Fwirg as a mamber Of the Water Committee was ac-

Mr. Turley appeared before the Council ir behalf of the Ralch Library
petitioning the town to stand the cost of a sewer,WYich petition was not
granted. It was ordered that they be required to conform to the ordinance
fY which requires the: to stand one half of cost provided that the street be
` left in as good condition as before.
Sergeant reported that Mr.W.W.Titus had paid X175. on rent pas due.

Mr. Ewinjr,Chairman of the Finance Committee reported tY_at the Town Coun-
cil's Attorney, Mr. T.C.Hall,had assured him t1rat the license assessed on
automobiles was lairal and that the town should proceed to collect the same.
A Representative o' the Xureka Fire Hose Mfr Co.,oame before the Council
with samples of fire hose. Ahter some dlimeussion as to the condition of the
hose on hand and tre needs of the tovrn,it eras moved,carried and ordered that
the Fire Chief be directed to purchase 500 feet of Pureka Fire Hose
