The minutes of the last meeting were read. and signed.
In reference to the communication received Prom the Government con-
cerning Sewer on Market Streot,the council voted to adhere to their
former resolution in the matter p.nd requested the Payor to so noti'y
the Government.
Matter of Sewer Jn Royal Street continued.
"'t"ttee on pavement for Nevr School (;uilding. reported that it had
deferred any action until it learned the attitude of the School author-
ities in t1 -,e matter.
Matter of sale of Liberty bonds continued.

this attended to at once.
Mr ?Pye repurted that the blasts put off at the Lime Kiln quarry ward
o' such magnitude that tiwy caused stones to fly all over property ill
the no ighborhood$thereby endangering the lives and property of psopls
thing, in that section. On motion made and carried the Mayor was

Mr. W.C.(Whitmore moved th&t a committee be appointed to erranc<e for haul-

In vrder that the Council may be kept more fully informed or the financial
condition of the Town,from time to time,the following. resolutions were
adopted and ordered to be entered of record-
iResolved- That the Treasurer (in addition to tis regular annual report) be
direclad to :submit to *he Council at its first meeting in each and every month
(beginning with the first meeting in Deremter 19'd?) e statement showing
the balance ori hand the first day of 6%.ery month.
Resolved- That, tt.e Town Sergeant be directed to submi*, to t;:e COU rci! once
a month,at its .first meeting in each month (the first report to cover the
month of November 1922) a statement of the amount on hand Nov 1,1922 and of
his collections from every source during the month,viz; from texes,viater
rents,fines and other sources,designatirg Prom wl• on saia payment have been
received,ard to wh wr. all disbursements have been made,together with a report
of work done during, the month for the corporation,the location and fths.a eter
of said work,by whom performed,and the approximate cost of the same.
-Resolved-Thiat the finance Committee be directed to have prepared and
printed. nx proper blanks on which to make the reports mpntiuned in the fore-
going resolution.
The Council doth hereby levy for the current year 19-2 the foliowing
taxes on the following property for the use of the Town of Leesburg -
On real %rd tangible property 75 cents on each $10U. Of value.
On intangible property 20 cents on each 6'100. of at.sesned value -
On Bank Stock 50 cents on the X100 of the assessed value of each
share.
In addition thereto the Co±xncil doth hereby impose an additional
special levy of 10 cents on eecY ti100..o' assessed value of i al, and "angi-
bl, persons.- property for the purpol; providin[: a sinking fund or to
pay tr.e principal an^. interest of the existir, bon -lad i'_ebte4rness of the
