At a Regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council held in the Council
Chambers Loesburg Va.,Sept 1u,1923-
Present- Hon. C.F.Harriaon,Mayor,
John T.H•)urihane,Rucorder,and
Josephus Carr,J.R,Clemens,
k.D.Shroy, W.B.Csviness,&
W.C.Whitmore,coun^almen.
The ginutes of the last meeting were read and signed.
The matter of election of a Sergeant,Night watehmar.,Avditor encs Treas-
urer were taken up -
For Sargeant- ?L Forsyth and P.^r.Heyl were presented and a vote tskez:,r;-
4ulting in the unanimous re-election of Mr, Forsyth.
Mr. D.K.Miley was unanimuus

Mr. D.6.Hourihe.ne was unanimously elected T*easur•er,
For NightwatchmRn there "sere three arDlieants,hir.Crouch,Mr.Cooper and
Nr. T.F,Atwell. Whereupotl R vote war, taken resulting in the unanlous
election of Mr.Crouch.
The following applications for managing the Pumping Station were pre-
sented.
re-Bented, w, H, Stear3ma
n, Mr. Hough and mr. Chas Flet nher. Mr. Steadman was
placed in nomination and re^sived two votes, Mr. F'ough was then nomi-
nated mud received three votes -thereupon Mr. Hough was given the appoint
ment with the understanding that, the appointment was Wonthly.
Mr. ,4,C.Hall appeared before the Council and stated that there vas to be
a large gathering of Odd Fellows in the town on Oct 5th and requested
teat they be given the use of the ^_'onn Hall for that evening without
&'arge,which request was prarted. Mr. Hall also requested that the
council authorize the Mayor to write a

Y• On motion made and carried it was ordered that the Mayor
write the above latter.
