At a Meeting of the Malror end Torn Council held in the council chambers
in Leesburg Va.,Sept 2491923.

Present- Hon Chas ?.Harrison,Mayor,and
Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and siRned.
The Recorder Being Rbsent,M.L.Lowenbach was appointed Recorder pro ter..
Ordered that the Mayor have the By-laws and Ordinances of the town
codified and present the bill to the Council or same.
A letter from h.B.Fitzgerald relative to Finance Books -'or the :own was
read and on motion the Finance Committee was instructed to put in operation
a financial system sultRbis for the town.
A Ordered that the 'Treasurer and Town Sergeant each execute bond,with approved
security,in the penalty of $5000.

Ordered that the Bill of Messrs Alexander & Hall i'or expenses to
Richmond Va. ,be paid
D.6.Hourihazhe Treasurer and ii. p.Forsyth,Town Sergeant, h wing both failed
to Qualify within the time proscribed ouy 1 w,it is ordered that tine said
D.O.Hourihane and B.P.Forayth be and they are hereby unanimously electod to
�l said offices,and they are directed to Qualify by executing bonds with approv-
ed security in the penalty of $5000. each..
On motion ..jade and seconded it is ordered that the night-watchman be
Riven one weeks vacation beginning Oct 9th.
Ordered that the hour of mestirg Le changed from 8 oclock to 7.30 )clock

heeolved that the Town of Lee eburg,Va.,adopt the Prohibieion Laws of this

State,and the Mayor Is instructed to employ a suitable person to spread same

upon the minutes of ti.is Council.
