ORDINANCE NO. 02-872
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING SECTION 6239 (COLLECTION AND REMOVAL) OF
THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 6239 of the Temple City Municipal Code is hereby amended to read:
6239 — FRANCHISE — RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL
The City may enter into an exclusive franchise agreement regarding the collection and disposal of
certain trash, rubbish, debris and other discarded goods and materials, including all garbage,
combustible trash, rubbish and miscellaneous debris from residential and commercial properties. If
the City shall enter into a franchise agreement, the collection and disposal of the materials provided
for therein shall be made only in accordance with the terms and conditions thereof, including the
mandatory payment by each individual householders and commercial businesses of the fees and
charges provided for by such franchise agreement.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published according to law.

872, was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held on the 6th day of
August, 2002, and was duly passed, approved, and adopted by said Council at the adjourned regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of August, 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman - Souder, Wilson, Vizcarra, Gillanders
NOES: Councilman -None
