COMMISSIONER DICK THOMPSON
Commissioner Thompson was present at the Boards request to
follow up on a previous meeting concerning the library and
other issues. Thompson presented the County Attorney's opinion
on what the County's role in a Library District would be. In
answer to several questions regarding the proposed District he
thought there were still gray areas.
Thompson informed the Board that the Commissioners would not be
asking the voters to change sales tax allocation in November
1994.
Concerning the Fraser Parkway, Thompson said that they were
still having right of way acquisition problems and that
wetlands work was on hold until the property was acquired. He
said it was still possible to start construction in 1994 but it
really looked like a 1995 project.
The method of lodging complaints about junk was discussed.
Brown stated that at least on two occasions there were
repercussions against the complainant by the other property
owner. The Board asked Brown to revise the complaint forms and
that the policy would allow anonymous complaints to avoid this
problem in the future.
At 11:10 p.m. Jensen moved to adjourn, Johnston second, motion
carried.
