HomeMy Public PortalAboutTBM 1994-06-15TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES JUNE 15, 1994 Meeting called to order by Jeff Johnston at 7:34 p.m. Members present were Johnston, Muhlbauer, Wirsing, Havens, Swatzell and Manager Brown. Jensen and Klancke arrived later in the meeting. MINUTES No minutes were reviewed as the Town Clerk is on vacation. FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM Mark Matulik of the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) presented an overview of the Flood Insurance Program. If the Town wanted to participate in the program CWCB would do the detail flood mapping and would provide the Town with draft ordinances and regulations. Also available to the Town would be Federal Disaster Assistance in the Town were to join. Matulik showed the Board a slide show on the program and answered questions. After the presentation, Wirsing moved that the Town continue investigating the Flood Insurance Program. Muhlbauer second, motion carried. SHERIFF'S REPORT Sheriff Rod Johnson was present and presented monthly reports. He stated that his department was working on a new report format that would give more information on calls. Johnson answered a few questions regarding patrols and then was excused. COMMISSIONER DICK THOMPSON Commissioner Thompson was present at the Boards request to follow up on a previous meeting concerning the library and other issues. Thompson presented the County Attorney's opinion on what the County's role in a Library District would be. In answer to several questions regarding the proposed District he thought there were still gray areas. Thompson informed the Board that the Commissioners would not be asking the voters to change sales tax allocation in November 1994. Concerning the Fraser Parkway, Thompson said that they were still having right of way acquisition problems and that wetlands work was on hold until the property was acquired. He said it was still possible to start construction in 1994 but it really looked like a 1995 project. The method of lodging complaints about junk was discussed. Brown stated that at least on two occasions there were repercussions against the complainant by the other property owner. The Board asked Brown to revise the complaint forms and that the policy would allow anonymous complaints to avoid this problem in the future. At 11:10 p.m. Jensen moved to adjourn, Johnston second, motion carried.
