HomeMy Public PortalAbout9/30/1994 special" GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL Special Session September 30, 1994 The Greencastle Common Council met in special session on Friday, September 30, 1994 at 4:00 p.m. at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be present: Councilor Tom Roach, Councilor Jerry Calbert, Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor Charles Miles, Councilor Mike Rokicki. Also present was City Attorney John Zeiner. Recommendations and Requests from Officers and Departments: Resolution 1994 -19, A Resolution Authorizing a 1995 Excessive Levy Appeal, was presented and read in its entirety. Councilor Rokicki moved to approve Resolution 1994 -19. This motion was seconded by Councilor Calbert. During the discussion the clerk- treasurer explained that the city was requesting an appeal of the PTRC in the amount of $73, 934.00 to replace appropriations for the local match of the ISTEA grant and repaving that would have been funded by the Cumulative Capital Development monies for the year 1995. The Cumulative Capital Development Tax was not established for the year 1995 due to c ll procedural error. The appeal is for one year only, as CCD will be reestablished in 1995 for 1996. On call for the Harmless declared Resolution 1994 -19 to have been carried pass d andadopted this unanimous vote. Mayor s date Council Reports and Comments: Councilor Rokicki discussed a special Saturday morning session to review the water improvements plans. A date is to finalized when City Engineer Chris Barnes is prepared for the discussion. Suggested e dates were October 22 or October 29 at 8:00 am. It was the consensus of Council to set Halloween Trick or Treating hours for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Halloween, October 31, 1994" adjournment. This motion was seconded With no further business, Councilor Calbert moved for by Councilor Rokicki, was carried by an aye unanimous vote, and the meeting was adjourned at 4:07 p.m. chael M.
