Town Board
C.B. Jensen called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Board
present were Clayton, Klancke, Schauner, Parks,Finlay. Attorney
Hartlaub and Vicky Winter.
Jan Long coordinator of the teen center reviewed for the board
the efforts to date to get a center and the means of funding
preliminary as well as near term expenses. Introduced
Kathrine Hayes, hired by the Rec. District to work with the
program in this area, as well as the manager of the teen center
for the next few months.
Discussed was the use of the fire house as the center. Long stated
that she believed that this building was under lease and could
not be gotten but had called and found out different. Members
stated that they were to understand that this building would be available
should the program be put together. Finaly made a phone call and
conveyed that all that was needed was to talk to the board for final
approvals etc. Town would pay for the water services to this center
and the group should talk to the sewer dist. for the same.
Insurance for this activity was discussed, and all of the alternatives
will be looked into, it might be this can be added to the town policy.
Fox presented a contract for additional services to add a map and
review of sensitive areas within the planning area of the present
master plan amendment as he was directed to do at the last P.C.
meeting. Fox also placed a cost of two different final document
packages other than the bid for this to be an amendment to the
orginal plan should the board want this document in a final form of
one package.
After much discussion board does not want to incur the additional
expense to add the sentive areas to the document other than to
address maps already made with a small addition of lines to alert
the areas and a small section of the text relating to additional
planning needed in these areas.
Also board will not go to a final document incompassing all of the
material, rather stay with the bid already in place.
Cristy Clayton wrote the board concerning a problem with bees
in Ptg. The Town had a problem a couple of years ago with same.
Owners will be advised of the problem.
No futher business, board ajourned at 9:30 p.m.
