AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
LICHENSTEIN CONSULTING ENGINEERS, P.C./BULKItEAD
DESIGN/ARTHUR KILL WATERFRONT RECREATIONAL FACILITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution #03-187 the Borough of Carteret has awarded
a professional service contract to Lichenstein Consulting Engineers, P.C. with
regard to the Bulkhead Design/Arthur Kill Waterfront Recreational Facility; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Borough of Carteret is in need of
additional professional engineering services in regards to the same project; and
WHEREAS, Lichenstein Consulting Engineers, P.C., possesses the requisite skill
and expertise to provide said engineering services; and
WHEREAS, Lichenstein Consulting Engineers, P.C. has submitted a proposal to
provide said engineering services at a cost not to exceed $10,00.00 including the
original $5000 awarded;
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Resolution #03-187 be amended by the within resolution to
authorize the contract with Lichenstein Consulting Engineers, P.C.
for engineering services with regard to the Bulkhead
Design/Arthur Kill Waterfront Recreation Facility not to exceed
the hereby approved total amount of $10,000.00.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. The appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with Lichenstein Consulting Engineers,
P.C. to provide the above described services.
4. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-5(1)(a).
