At a special meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the town of Lees- burg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Monday, April 19, 1937, at 8:00 P. M., there were present E. N. Bradfield, Mayor; Roscoe B. Rhoads, Recorder; and Roy M. Flippo, Lawrence S. Hutchison, Harry F. Newton, Louis C. Rollins and Jos- eph H. Turley, Councilmen. Town Auditor S. Reed Galleher appeared before Council and presented - the tentative budget for the town for the year ending February 28, 1938. After the budget was presented and thoroughly discussed by the Coun- cil, it was moved by Councilman Hutchison, seconded by Councilman Newton, and unanimously carried, that the tentative budget be passed, and finally adopted, at the meeting on May 24, 1937, and it was ordered that thesame be published in the Loudoun Times-Mirror on April 22, 1937, and in the Loudoun News on May 13, 1937. On motion of Councilman Hutchison, seconded by Councilman Flippo, and unanimously carried, Mr. J. D. Taylor was granted permission to purchase town water, at the usual rate, for his residence, west of Leesburg, provided that satisfactory arrangements could be mMMIe with Mr. Frank E. Ellmore, the original owner of the water- line. There being no further business, on motion, the Council adjourned. Qlitta[i? ae MAYOR. tete---/S „. RECORDER. • At a regular meeting of theMayor and Town Council of the town of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Monday, April 26, 1937, at 7:30 P. M., there were present E. N. Bradfield, Mayor; Roscoe B. Rhoads, Recorder; and Roy M. Flippo, Harry F. Newton, Louis C. Rollins and Joseph H. Turley, Councilmen. • The minutes of the last regular meeting and the special meetings of April 19, 1937 were read and approved. On motion of Councilman Rollins, seconded by Councilman Flippo, • and unanimously carried, the contract of Mr. T. S. Alexander for the hauling of slops for the year ending March 31, 1938, was approved, and the following order issued: "It is ordered that E. N. Bradfield, Mayor, be, and he is hereby directed to sign the name of the town .of Leesburg,- in - Virginia, to the contract for hauling slops from said town, that was awarded to T. S. Alexander." The contract of Mr. Alexander, after being duly signed by the Mayor was hand- ed to the Recorder for his files.
