APPROVING APPLICATION TO THE COMMISSIONER OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR AID UNDER THE NEW JERSEY
TRANSPORTATION TRUST FUND AUTHORITY ACT
WHEREAS, the Borough o£ Carteret ("Borough") desires to apply to the
Commissioner of Transportation for aid trader the New Jersey Transportation
Trust Fund Authority Act for the road improvements set forth in the attached
application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation ("NJDOT"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said application, the Borough is seeking funding from
the NJDOT Local Aid Program/FY 2004 for the reconstruction of Marion Street
in the amount of' $360,800; and
WHEREAS, the Borough is desirous of the NJDOT to approve the
aforementioned application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of' the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That the attached Resolution, Application and Agreement for
aid under the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority Act
are hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute and to attest to the Resolution, Application and
Agreement, in triplicate.
3. That the Borough Engineer is hereby authorized to submit the
completed application package to the NJDOT for consideration.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on July 10, 2003.
