' i1 // eAde Pr 111 RECORDER./ At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the town of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Monday, August 23, 1937, at 8:00 P. M., there were present E. N. Bradfield, Mayor; Roscoe B. Rhoads, Recorder; and Hoy H. Flippo, Lawrence S. Hutchison, Harry N. Newton, Lucas D. Phillips, Louis G. Rollins and Joseph H. Turley, councilmen. The minutes of the last regular meeting and the special meeting of August 17, 1937, were read and approved. The following bills were read, approved and ordered paid: M. D. Atwell, $.56.00 Earl L. Poston, 17.60 Joseph H. Turley, 5.55 Leesburg Lime & Fuel Corporation, - - - 36.06 H. & H. Chevrolet Sales, •10.00 Harry F. Newton, 5.65 Virginia Department of Highways,- - - - 77.28 F. M. Fling, 12.00 $220:14 On motion of Councilman Turley, seconded by Councilman Hutchison, and unanimously carried, it vas ordered that Master Louis Hough be paid the sum of $15.00 for attending to the town pumps during the illness of his father Mr. Ray- mond Hough. The following ordinance was then read to Council, and upon motion of Councilman Rollins, seconded by Councilman Turley, and unanimously carried; the same was adopted' _ SE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg, in • Virginia, that, commencing September 1, 1937, the Auditor-Treas- urer of said town shall make and submit to the Council a guar- ' terly statement of all money collected or received by the said • town and a detailed analysis of all accounts authorized to be paid by said Counbil. Councilman Phillips introduced to the Council Mr. Same@ Morris, of the State Auditing Department, who gave a general report of the work to be done by that department in connection with the installation of the modern bookkeeping system for the town.
