It was moved by Councilman Rollins , seconded by Council-
man Hutchison and unanimously carried thet the following Resolution
be passed ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg,
in Virginia , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized to prushase• five hundred ( 500) gallons of tar tf
possible , and if not to purchase one thousand ( 1000) gallons.
On motion of Councilman Turley , seconded by ,Councilman
Rollins, and unanimously carried , the following Ordinance was
adopted ;
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg:
'in Virginia , thox the Auditor-Treasurer 'be and he is hereby
authorized and instructed to pay the following bills :

M. D. Atwell 9 .00
. Leesburg Automobile Company 3.86
Frye Motor Company 29 .40
$43.94
There being no further business , on motion, the Council
adjourned.

At a special meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
town of Leesburg , in Virginia , held in the Council Chamber on Tues-
day October 5 , 1937 , at 7 :30 P. M. , there were present , Lucas D.
Phillips , Mayor ; Louis T. Titus , Recorder ; and Roy M. Flippo ,
Lawrence S. Hutchison, Louis C. Rollins , J . D. Taglor , and Joseph
H. Turley, Councilmen.
On motion of. Councilman Flippo , seconded by Councilman
Hutchison and unanimously carried the following Resolution. was
passed ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg,
in" Virginia , that the Mayor be and. he is hereby. authorized*
and empowered to sell the Leesburg Pumper #1 which is owned
by the said town , for the sum of $650.00 cash, but no
equipment , except such as was in it when purchased , shall be
sold with the said pumper. -
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that the
Mayor and' Recorder be and they are hereby authorized ,
instructed and directed to sign all of the necessary papers.
for the purpose of transferring title to the aforesaid pumper
, to -the purchaser , if and when $650.00 cash is received for
the said pumper. •

adjourned . •
