AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
UNITED WAY OF THE WHITEWATER VALLEY
WHEREAS, The United Way of the Whitewater Valley has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used by the Widowed Persons Service
operated by the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit
a grant application to the United Way of the Whitewater Valley.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said
grant funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents
($5,350.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall
be appropriated toward operating expenses related to Senior Widowed Program.

of Richmond, Indiana.
