' On motion .of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman
Turley and unanimously carried, the following resolution was- passed ;
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
indVirginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby

authorized ; instructed and directed to pay the following bills ;

• A claim of Mrs. E. L. Pleasants for $62.75 representing
the pro-rated share of the cost of a sewer line adjoining King
street and extending -West on Loudoun street, recently tapped by
Mrs. C. Dunn, was read to the council.
No action was taken on this matter. ( Copy of this -claim
may be found in the files of the Recorder: )
There being no further business , on motio4 duly made ,
seconded and carried , the council adjourned.

,; — •At- a SPECIAL meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of
the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia , held in the Council Chamber on
Wednesday , July 13 , 1938 , at 8:00 P. M. there were present; Lucas
D. Phillips , Mayor; Louis T. Titus , hecorder ;• Roy M. Flippo , John
T. Hourihane , L. S. Hutchison, L. C. Rollins and Joseph H. Turley ,.
Councilmen. '
- On motion of Councilman Hutchison seconded by Councilman
Hourihane and unaniomosly carried the following Resolution was pessed ;
BE IT RESOLVED: by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in .Virginia , that Mr. 0. K." Wilson, Jr. 'be employes to paint
the roof of the town water tank and _also the roofs of the
'.'-,3. buildings -and 'reservoir at the 'pumping station.

BE IT' FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that; the
cost to the town for the said painting shall be $45.00 and .,
the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and In-
structed and•d4rected -to draw a check payable to -the said
Owen K. Wilson Jr. for the said wild sum of $45.00 in payment
for the aforesaid painting.
On motion of Councilman Turley seconded by Councilman
Flippo and unanimously carried -that the. following Resolution Was IIpassed;
• ' BE -IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia , -that the-Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized , instructed and directed to purchase the necessary
paint, oils and other materials , to paint the roof of the
Town Water tank -and the foofs of the buildings and the
reservior-at the pumping station. . -
• Co1.P. M. Anderson was present and addressed the Council
in regard to -a -Municipal-Power System and Distribution. System and
made an oral-- offer to make the necessary preliminary survey in
connection with the said- project , if the Town was interested in
such a project ,for the sum of $150.00 and would do the engineering •
of the project- for 6%eof- the total cost. -
• The Council took no action on this matter.
On motion -duly- made , seconded and carried the Council

MondayJuly 18 , 1938 , at 8 :00 P4 M. there were present; Lucas D. _
Phillips , Maypr ; Louis T. Titus , Recorder ; Roy M. Flippo, John T. --
flourihane , Lawrence S. Hutchison, Louis C. Rollins , John D. Taylor,
and Joseph•H. Turley , Councilman.
Councilman Turley presented an Ordinance in regard to .
. the issuing of bonds in connection with the proposed sewer system and
' disposal plant for the town of Leesburg, -and- requestbdtthat same be _
laid on the table for further consideration. . - .--- -- .
There being no further business , on motion duly made ,
seconded and carried , the coulcil adjourned-.
