ORDINANCE NO. 05 -901
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING SECTIONS 2204 AND 2205 OF THE TEMPLE CITY
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATIVE TO APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL OF
THE CITY MANAGER
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.- Sections 2204 - 2205 of the Temple City Municipal Code are hereby
amended to read as.folowc:
ARTICLE II - ADMINISTRATION
CHAPTER 2 - CITY MANAGER

2204 REMOVAL
2205 REMOVAL AFTER MUNICIPAL ELECTION (deleted)
2204. REMOVAL
The City Council shall appoint the City Manager for an indefinite term and may remove
him at any time by the affirmative vote of not less than three (3) members. The City
Council in removing the City Manager shall use its uncontrolled discretion and its action
shall be final, and shall not depend upon any particular showing or degree of proof.
Upon such termination, the Council shall forthwith pay to him any unpaid balance of his
monthly salary plus any and all contractual rights in money or money's worth.
2205. REMOVAL AFTER MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Section 2205 is deleted.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and shall cause the same to be published according to law.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance,
Ordinance No. 05 -901, was introduced at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Temple City held on the 2nd day of August, 2005 and was duly passed, approved and adopted by
said Council at the regular meeting held on the 16th day of August, 2005 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmember - Gillanders, Wilson, Wong, Capra, Arrighi
NOES: Councilmember -None
ABSENT: Councilmember -None
ABSTAIN: Councilmember -None
