And whereas, the Council deems it most advantageous for
the Town to accept the bid of Scott , Horner & Mason , Inc. ;
which is for $82 ,639 . 79 with an interest or coupon rate of
2 3/4 per cent :
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia:, that the bid of Scott , Hornet
and Mason, Inc. , for $82 , 500.00 Sewerage System and Treatment
Plant Bonds at $82 ,639 .79. with a coupon rate of 2 3/4 per cent
be and the same is hereby accepted and approved and the-
Auditor-Treasurer is hereby authorized, instructed and directed
to deposit the check of the said Scott , Horner &. Mason• Inc.' •,
in one of the depository banks in the Town of Leesburg. in a
special account and the Recorder is hereby authorized, instructed
and directed to return immediately the checks of the other bidders
for said bonds. • •
There being no further business , on motion duly made , .
seconded and carried , the Council adjourned.

• At a regular meeting of the Mayor and. Town Council of
the town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council Chamber on
Monday , November 14 , 1938 at 7 :30 P. ii. , there were present , Lucas
D. Phillips , Mayor:; Louis' T. Titus , Recorder ; J. E. Adrain, • Roy M: .
Flippo , Louis C. Rollins ,. John T : Hourihane,, J . D. Taylor and .
Joseph H. Turley , councilmen. •

The minutes of a special meeting held on October 26 , Spl• of
October 31 , and a special meeting held on November 8th. were read
and upon. mot-ion duly made , seconded and carried were approved as
read. •

The recorder read a letter from Mr. Robert E. Lee , Agent
for the Sinclair :refining Company in regard to connecting to the
town water system for the Sinclair Filling Station on the South
of the Corporate limits/

On 'motion of Councilman Turley seconded by Councilman
Hourihane and unanimously carried the matter was laid on the table.
The Auditor Treasurer read his monthly statement for the
month of October . •

Taylor and unanimously carried , the following Resolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he. is hereby
authorized , -instructed and directed -to pay the following bills ;

On motion of Councilman Turley , seconded by Councilman
. Hourihane and unanimously carried;:! the follwoing Resolution was
adopted ;

- -BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized , instructed and directed to retain and use the
"Copper horns" ammd"Copper Setters" in connection with the
installation of water_.meters , sent the Town by the Ford
Meter Box Company.. .
On motion of Councilman Turley ; seconded by Councilman
Rollins a,d unanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted ; :
BE •IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburg , .
in Virginia , , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized , instructed -and directed to purchase the necessary
caulking tools for use of the town water department.
• On motion of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Counailman
Taylor and unanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted ;
BE IT -RESOLVED; by the Council of the Town of Leesburg_ ,
• in Virginia , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he' is hereby
authorized , instructed and directed to purchase the necessary
equipment for the •police force.
Councilman Eollins was excused at 8 :40 P. •M.
On motion of Councilman Turley , seconded by Councilman
Hourihane and unanimously carried , the following Resolution was
adopted ;

, - , BE IT RESOLVED; by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized , instructed and directed to purchase the
necessary traffic signs for the town.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , bythe said codncil that the
• " Street Committee for Streets North of Market Street be and
it is hereby authorized to determine the type and location
of said traffic signs. - •
