I. Call to order— 7:05 p.m.
A. Commissioners present —Galen Bruer (Chair), Randy Hughes (Vice
Chair) Brad Kvanbek (Secretary), Gerry Dykhoff, and Robin Reid.
B. Also present — Carolyn Smith
II. Additions to agenda. — Four
A. Possible donations from West Lutheran High School for football field
and track at the Legion Park. Galen, Jerry and Carolyn will meet with the
school personal at the Legion Park.
B. Senator Gen Olson will be at Medina City Hall Saturday (3-22) morning
9-10 am.
C. Hamel Legion community building and site improvements — A loan from
the city was suggested and was rejected by the city council. The city has
committed $140,000.00 for site improvements. The entire project may cost
$750,000.00.

D. Unfinished business — Went through list and reviewed some courses of
action.
1. Discussed other city's pricing for ball -field's use.
2. Natural features program — Galen is going to call someone at the
Hennepin Conservation District.
3. Park improvement survey — Randy's baby — discussed configuration.
III. Approval of last meeting's minutes. — Approved.
IV. Business
A. Updates
1. Morningside — None.
2. Independence Beach — None.
3. Maple — None.
4. Holy name — None.
5. Hunter — None
6. Legion Park - None
B. Trail Study — Discussed adding study to comprehensive plan and how
to map the trails. Hopefully Chad can make us a nice map (with GSI)
showing trail surface, type and priority.
a) Galen attended the City of Independence Park Commission
regarding adjoining trails. Discussed possible County Road 11
trail, we will include in study.
b) Funding — Discussed options in study and others such as
donations.

C. Rolling Green Business Park — Brad went to planning commission
meeting, the 15 foot easement was included in plat and agreed by
developer.
